Getting Started
What is Symptune?
Symptune is a protocol tracking platform that helps you see connections between what you put into your body, how you structure your routine, and how you actually feel day to day. You log inputs, daily state, and notable events over time. As data accumulates, patterns emerge that would otherwise be invisible.
Who is Symptune built for?
Symptune is built for people actively managing or optimizing a health protocol. The initial focus is on TRT and hormone optimization users: people adjusting dose timing, experimenting with protocol variables, and trying to connect those changes to measurable outcomes. It also works well for anyone tracking sleep, supplements, training, or lifestyle inputs and wanting to understand which variables actually move the needle.
How do I get started?
Create a free account and complete your baseline. The baseline captures your current protocol status, relevant history, and a starting snapshot of how you feel. From there, check in once per day and log events as they happen. Patterns become visible after roughly 10 to 14 days of consistent data.
Does Symptune require a subscription to use?
No. The free tier gives you access to baseline setup, daily check-ins, event logging, and basic progress tracking indefinitely. A paid subscription unlocks pattern analysis, protocol comparisons, advanced trend views, and future lab integrations. You can build a useful data foundation on the free tier.
What Symptune Tracks
What is a daily check-in?
A daily check-in is your once-per-day subjective state report. You rate metrics like energy, mood, libido, focus, recovery, and stress on a consistent scale. One check-in per day creates a clean, comparable daily record. This is the backbone of pattern analysis.
Can I edit a check-in after I submit it?
Yes. You can edit today's check-in at any time on the same day. You cannot create a second check-in for the same day. This preserves data accuracy: one honest reading per day, correctable but not duplicable.
What is the difference between a check-in and an event?
A check-in is your overall daily state report. An event is a specific thing that happened: a hard workout, a poor sleep night, a dose change, alcohol, illness, travel, late caffeine. Events give context to why your check-in scores look the way they do on specific days. Keeping them separate prevents individual events from distorting your daily picture.
What inputs should I track first?
Start with the variables most likely to affect how you feel: your protocol status (on or off, dose, timing), sleep quality, energy, mood, libido, and recovery. Add complexity once the basics are consistent. More inputs add noise early on. The goal is a consistent daily baseline first, then layering context on top of it.
Patterns and Insights
When will I start seeing patterns?
You will see early trend lines after about 10 to 14 days. Meaningful correlation patterns require 3 to 4 weeks of consistent data. Stronger protocol comparisons, such as before and after a dose change, need enough data on both sides of the change to be statistically meaningful. The system tells you clearly where you are in that process.
Will Symptune tell me what is causing my symptoms?
Symptune surfaces correlations in your data. It does not assign causation. If your energy scores consistently drop in the days following a particular event type, the pattern surfaces. What you do with that information is up to you, and ideally discussed with a clinician. Symptune never fabricates insights or claims certainty it does not have.
What does 'building baseline' mean?
'Building baseline' means the system does not yet have enough data to surface reliable patterns. This is an honest state. Showing you a pattern with 3 days of data would be misleading. Symptune uses real thresholds before drawing conclusions. Early tracking is still valuable because it is accumulating the data that patterns will eventually emerge from.
How is Symptune different from just keeping a journal?
A journal captures events in prose. Symptune captures structured, normalized, comparable data. The difference is that Symptune can compute: it can compare week 4 to week 8, show you how your energy trended against a protocol change, or surface that your worst recovery days cluster around a specific event type. None of that is possible with unstructured notes.
Privacy and Data
Who can see my data?
Only you. Your tracking data is private to your account. Symptune does not share individual health-adjacent data with any third party, sell it to advertisers, or use it to train AI models. The only data processors involved are Cloudflare (hosting), Neon (database), and Maileroo (transactional email). See our Privacy Policy for full details.
Does Symptune sell my personal data?
No. We do not sell your data, period. We do not share it with advertisers. We do not use it for any purpose beyond operating the service you signed up for.
Can I export my data?
Yes. A full data export is available in your account Settings at any time. Your data belongs to you and you can take it with you.
What happens to my data if I delete my account?
If you delete your account, your personal data is permanently purged from our systems within 30 days. We recommend exporting your data before deletion if you want to keep a copy.
Subscription and Billing
What is included in the free tier?
Free accounts include baseline setup, unlimited daily check-ins, event logging, and basic progress framing. You can build a meaningful data history on the free tier. Advanced pattern analysis, protocol comparisons, trend views, and upcoming lab integrations are locked to paid plans.
What does the paid plan unlock?
The paid plan unlocks protocol pattern analysis, longitudinal trend comparisons, before-and-after protocol views, recovery trend analysis, and future lab integrations. As the analytics engine matures, paid users receive access to new capabilities as they are released.
How do I cancel my subscription?
You can cancel your subscription at any time from your account Settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period. You retain access to paid features until then. We do not offer prorated refunds for unused time within a billing period.
Do you offer refunds?
We do not offer prorated refunds for unused subscription time. If you have a billing issue or were charged in error, contact us via our contact page and we will review your case.
